Well, as one would expect from a proper nerd; I'm at the WhatTheHack computer/technology/culture celebration here in Liempde in holland.
I've been working on getting signage done aswell as making cash/info desks, painting, glueing, you name it. If it's got something to do with wood, it's our team that gets put onto it. Apart from it being a fun place to excersize my wood/diy-skills a bit , it's also quite an interesting spectacle to watch how social interaction works within/between closely-knit groups of people trying to 'do their own thing'. Ofcourse there's a few people out there who know 'what the hell's going on', but it's hard/challenging to get them all in one line, soon and efficiently so that everything's ready to go when the public gets here.
That, actually, is going to be 'today'. I'm typing this somewhere around 5:30 in the morning; having sat down finally after a lot of last-minute jobs, etc. Gotten my PC to function again despite a broken SATA-cable-connector and am just getting my little Ubuntu install doing what I expect a linux-distro to do; play mp3's, deliver a desktop , webbrowser and a terminal. Basically, due to patent-bla, it's the first issue that needed some tweaking before it worked in any satisfactory way.
Anyhow; tomorrow should bring a few more challenges and hopefully a shower and some spare time so I can get my tent in order and listen to some speakers aswell as distribute my time to some other people that deserve/appreciate it.
Seeya in.. err.. a few hours.
