Hmmmmm, I wonder.


I wonder; now that we have SATA drives for our home-PC's aswell as having them turning into a viable alternative for SCSI-drives in the enterprise network; will we see SATA being used for the same things SCSI is being used for right now ?

That is, not too long ago there was mention of SCSI being used for high-speed networking. But, now that there's also Serial Attached SCSI, will that mean that we might get Networking over SATA aswell ?

And would such a 'Serial Attached ATA Network' be called a 'SATAN'... and the 'Network Interface Cards' for such networks ... a 'SATANIC' ?
